Regulations on construction of cultural and civilized education space wide-spread
The implementation of Project 02 by the Standing Committee of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee on "The mass mobilization for participating in building a cultural and civilized lifestyle in Binh Duong province for 2021-2025" has introduced changes to and triggered a strong ripple effect on the people. In the process, teachers and students have recognized the importance of building a cultural and civilized lifestyle in schools.
Plenty works and constructions
Implementing Project 02 of the Provincial Party Committee and the plans of the Department of Education and Training to carry out "Civilized Saturdays," building a cultural and civilized lifestyle in schools, Dong Chieu Secondary School (Di An city) has organized many meaningful activities. Mrs. Dau Thi Tu, Principal of Dong Chieu Secondary School, stated that in response to Project 02, the collective staff, teachers, and students of the school have carried out many projects and tasks. Specifically, in addition to building the "Cultural Space of President Ho Chi Minh," officers, teachers, staff, and students regularly participate in weeding and planting flowers while implementing "Civilized Saturdays"; painting murals in classrooms, contributing to beautifying the school and sending a message about environmental education and pride in the scenic spots of the region, and traditional craft villages of the homeland.
In addition, the school has also launched the movement of "Small actions, big meaning," giving out plastic bottles and recycled paper to create 5 shelters to protect from sun and rain when parents drop off and pick up their children at the school gate; making swings and horizontal bars for students to play and relax; educating students to participate in safe traffic. At the same time, the school has also done well in socializing education, thereby planting many trees to create shade, ornamental plants to beautify the school, and equipping additional stone benches and learning tools for students.
A large number of teachers and staff at Dong Chieu Secondary School (Di An city) participate in the "Civilized Saturdays" event.
It can be seen that activities participating in building a cultural and civilized lifestyle in schools, such as planting trees, protecting the environment, and cleaning the environment, have become regular tasks. Many schools have created green spaces, which not only provide shade but also have aesthetic value in the school campus; some schools have even spread meaningful messages through mural paintings.
From the widespread impact of Project 02, art teachers from elementary and secondary schools in Ben Cat city have come together to create 21 mural paintings on D3 street, neighborhood 2, My Phuoc ward (the wall of Huong Duong Kindergarten). These paintings convey many meaningful messages such as promoting environmental protection, traffic safety; preventing drug abuse, preventing drowning; combating domestic violence, school violence, and enhancing urban aesthetics.
The drum that starts school cleaning up
At Tan Phuoc Khanh Secondary School (Tan Uyen city), a large number of teachers and students of the school are also actively participating in building a cultural and civilized lifestyle with many practical tasks. After several campaigns implementing "Civilized Saturday," the school administration, along with a large number of union members, teachers, and students, has mobilized to remove illegal advertisements; clean the area outside and inside the school campus; and plant and care for green trees along the fence next to the teachers' parking lot and the flower beds inside the school.
Tan Phuoc Khanh Secondary School has especially implemented a digital transformation model in tree planting activities for the staff and employees at the unit. All staff, teachers, and employees particularly plant new trees and care for them, and monitor the growth and development of the plants (2 trees a person) in the premises or areas under the management of the educational institution or at their place of residence. At the same time, they will report on the activities of planting, caring for, and monitoring the growth and development of the trees to the educational institution and the Department of Education and Training of the city via QR code on a regular basis, which is twice a week (every Tuesdays and Saturdays).
At Tran Quoc Toan Primary School (Thuan An city), many teachers have also made efforts in building a cultural and civilized lifestyle at the school. Bui Xuan Truong, a teacher at Tran Quoc Toan Primary School, said: “Recently, the implementation of a cultural and civilized lifestyle at the school has been carried out and achieved many results.” Among them, the most prominent is the model "Clean School Drum". When the school drum sounds, all students go out to pick up trash instead of participating in the usual physical activities or singing and dancing in the yard. The students get to work cleaning the school. Each student has a task, each class has a mission, and everyone is diligent and proactive. The fallen leaves around the yard, scraps of paper, candy wrappers etc. are carefully collected by the students and placed in the designated areas.
Mr. Truong added that the school has also built and developed many models of "Exchanging trash for gifts" and "Green classroom" solution with many green areas in the classroom, "My beloved nature corner," "One tree donation per week," and effective participation in various environmental protection programs and activities such as "Fridays for the environment," "Volunteer Saturdays," "Green Sundays," "Green library," contributing to building a happy school and classroom.
Building a cultural and civilized lifestyle in schools is the implementation of an educational process. Establishing a cultural and civilized lifestyle in schools is a regular, long-term task that requires both teachers and students to actively learn and practice self-discipline through specific and practical actions. Propaganda about building a cultural and civilized lifestyle must truly become the actions and specific daily tasks of teachers and students. It is believed that, from a correct understanding, not only teachers but also students will voluntarily comply with the regulations on building a cultural and civilized lifestyle from the smallest actions.
