Provincial leader receives Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany

On November 14, Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, received Mr. Nguyen Dac Thanh, newly-appointed Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany for the 2024-2027 tenure.

Mr. Mai Hung Dung had a meeting with Ambassador Nguyen Dac Thanh.

At the meeting, Mai Hung Dung briefly informed the delegation about the socio-economic development of the province. Namely, the province attracted US$1 billion 581 million, including 163 new projects, 153 capital adjustment projects, and 105 projects contributing capital to buy shares. Accumulated to October 31, 2024, Binh Duong has 4,359 investment projects from 65 countries and territories with a total registered capital of more than US$42 billion. Binh Duong currently ranks 3rd in the country in attracting foreign investment capital, after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

Mr. Mai Hung Dung informed about Binh Duong's socio-economic development orientation and investment attraction orientation, which focus on attracting high-tech projects, projects to develop the trade - service sector and train quality human resources. The Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee wished Ambassador Nguyen Dac Thanh a successful new term in Germany and hoped that the Ambassador would continue to call on German businesses to invest in Binh Duong.

Ambassador Nguyen Dac Thanh thanked the leader of Binh Duong province for his welcome. He said that Vietnam always expands cooperation in all fields with countries around the world, not only through State diplomacy but also through Party and people's diplomacy. During his new term in Germany, he will continue to promote the country's image and promote potential provinces and cities of Vietnam, including Binh Duong.
