Improving teaching and learning quality at development needs
To become one of the country’s leading localities in economic development and innovation, Binh Duong has given priority to training the local human resources, especially high-quality ones, along with attracting talents. Province-based universities play a crucial role in this effort.
Enhancing training quality
In its journey of growth, Thu Dau Mot University has succeeded in becoming a multi-disciplinary and multi-field institution. The university’s programs have aligned with labor market demands and the province's needs.

Currently, the university offers 52 undergraduate programs and 11 postgraduate programs. Its training curriculum follows the CDIO framework and meets MOET and AUN-QA standards while being adjusted to labor market requirements based on experts’ recommendations.
Dr. Doan Ngoc Xuan, Principal of Thu Dau Mot University said that in recent years, the school has continued reforming its training programs under advanced higher education standards with its staff, lecturers and scientists increasing in both quantity and quality. Training programs are always revised in the direction of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary cooperation, compared to the programs of advanced universities in the ASEAN region. All efforts have aimed at improving quality and efficiency in training high-quality human resources. The university has also aspired to be a hub for science, technology and innovation, supporting Binh Duong, the Southeast region and the nation in sustainable socio-economic development.
The school’training programs have been adapted to the evolving higher education environment in the digital transformation era. Some disciplines such as economics and foreign languages have implemented overseas study modules and practical experiences abroad. Additionally, Thu Dau Mot University frequently organizes workshops and seminars with businesses, enabling students to understand labor market demands and connect with job opportunities. Over 30,000 undergraduates and 1,000 postgraduates have joined the labor markets of Binh Duong, the Southeastern region and the country, receiving high praise from employers.
On November 20, during his visit to the university, Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Council acknowledged its efforts in training human resources and contributing high-quality scientific and technological products to the socio-economic development of the province in particular, the Southeastern region and whole country in general. Hopefully in the coming time, the school will further make efforts for education and training with increasingly high quality. The school also needs to improve the quality of enrollment, aiming at providing increasingly higher quality human resources.
Modernizing material facilities
Developing high-quality human resources to support Binh Duong’s sustainable growth as a modern and smart city is a key strategic goal for the period of 2020–2025. Province-based universities have continuously enhanced educational quality and modernized material facilities to meet this goal.
