Discussing with provincial leaders about pouring an additional US$50 million to build a factory and expand the production scale in Binh Duong, Mr. Wong Man Li, Chairman of Manwah Group (Hong Kong, China), said that investors always appreciate Binh Duong's efforts and determination in improving the investment and business environment; the dynamism of local authorities in approaching new investors. The achievements in attracting investment in recent times helped Binh Duong continue to promote its image to attract investment from large corporations around the world.

With an open and attractive investment environment, in recent years, Binh Duong has always been one of the leading provinces and cities nationwide in FDI attraction. By the end of 2024, the whole province had 73,945 domestic enterprises registered for business with a total capital of VND 812,400 billion and nearly 4,400 FDI projects from 65 countries and territories with a total registered capital of over 42.5 billion USD. Binh Duong is currently ranked second in the country in FDI attraction, after Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Jesper Hassellund Mikelsen, Senior Vice President of the Lego Group (Denmark) for the Asia-Pacific region and General Director of Lego Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd., expressed his gratitude to the Binh Duong provincial government for their support in implementing the Lego Factory Project at the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park 3. The Provincial Party Secretary hopes that Lego would continue to accompany the development of Binh Duong, together exploiting better opportunities and continuing to expand production and business in Binh Duong; he committed to creating all favorable conditions for the Lego Factory to operate effectively.

To continue to be a potential destination for investors, in addition to promoting infrastructure construction and drastically improving the investment environment, Binh Duong always creates favorable conditions for enterprises to produce and do business, attracting strong FDI capital flows into the province. Provincial leaders have indicated that, in light of the challenges posed by the volatile, complex, and unpredictable global situation, Binh Duong must act swiftly and decisively to attract foreign direct investment (FDI). To seize opportunities for FDI, it is essential not only to leverage geographical location and infrastructure advantages, but also to enhance competitive strengths and improve the overall investment and business environment.

In addition, Binh Duong continues to streamline investment processes and procedures; has policies and support packages for training highly skilled human resources; increases direct meetings between provincial leaders, departments, branches, localities and major investors to clearly understand needs, quickly remove obstacles, and create the most favorable conditions for investors.

In 2025, it is anticipated that both advantages and challenges will remain interconnected. The Provincial People's Committee has identified enhancing the business environment as a key priority. To achieve this, it has called on departments, branches, and organizations at all levels to take decisive and proactive measures to eliminate obstacles and address bottlenecks in legal processes and their implementation for businesses.

According to Dr. Mai Huu Tin, Chairman of Binh Duong Business Federation, besides potential and advantages, enterprises in the province are also facing many challenges, such as pressure on traffic infrastructure, regional connectivity, social security, green transformation, digital transformation, etc. However, with specific and appropriate solutions, Binh Duong is making efforts to effectively implement many policies of the Central and local governments to accompany and support enterprises.
