Provincial leaders visit, extend Tet greetings to heroic Vietnamese mothers, policy beneficiary families and workers

Early January 15, a delegation of provincial leaders visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor households and awarded scholarships to children with difficult circumstances as well as workers facing difficulties and those unable to return home for Tet in Thu Dau Mot city’s Tan An ward. The gifts-giving ceremony was also attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Nguyen Van Dong, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Thu Dau Mot city’s Party Committee.

At the gifts-giving ceremony, the delegation handed out 20 gifts worth VND1million to children with difficult circumstances; 20 scholarships worth VND 5 million in cash and additional gifts worth VND 300,000 each to students at the risk of dropping out and gifts to 30 poor households and 42 workers with difficult circumstances. The total value of the gifts presented amounted to VND 218 million. The delegation also visited and offered gifts to Huynh Van Duoc, a 3/4 war invalid in quarter 9 and Tran Van Tri, a 2/3 war invalid in quarter 8. The delegation also visited and donated gifts to Tran Thi Huu, former Chief Judge of Song Be provincial People's Court.

*The same morning, the delegation also visited and extended Tet greetings to provincial Cultural Center’s Folk Music and Dance Troupe. The delegation was attended by Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda-Education Commission and leaders of several departments.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ha emphasized that 2025 is an extremely important year, marked by many significant events in the country, so he hoped  provincial Cultural Center would further innovate, strive to build on its achievements and complete its tasks excellently while achieving greater success.

*Also on the morning of January 15, a delegation of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation, in collaboration with provincial Military Command, organized a program to present Tet gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, policy beneficiary families, revolutionary contributors and those with difficult circumstances in celebration of the Lunar New Year of the Snake in 2025. The delegation includes Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, Deputy Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation, along with leaders  of local authorities.

The delegation presented 24 gift packages to policy beneficiary families, revolutionary contributors and those facing difficulties in Ben Cat city. Each gift included VND 2 million in cash and a Tet gift. Mrs. Xuan shared that these gifts were sent by General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Party Committee, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and Deputy Minister of National Defense to policy beneficiary families in Binh Duong province for Tet.

The delegation also visited and presented Tet gifts from General Nguyen Tan Cuong to six heroic Vietnamese mothers in Ben Cat city, including mother Ung Thi Nung and mother Dang Thi Ut in An Dien ward; mother Nguyen Thi Muon and mother Cao Thi Rua in Thoi Hoa ward; mother Pham Thi Van in An Tay ward and mother Truong Thi Nhanh in Tan Dinh ward. Each mother received a Tet gift, consisting of VND 2 million in cash and a Tet gift.
