Provincial delegation congratulates military units on Hon Khoai Island

On January 7, a delegation from Binh Duong Province visited, encouraged, and wished a happy New Year to the officers and soldiers on duty at Hon Khoai Island.

On the eve of the New Year, the delegation of Binh Duong province sent New Year wishes of peace, prosperity, and happiness to military forces on duty on the island. In 2024, officers and soldiers stationed on Hon Khoai Island excelled in rescue operations, ensuring the sovereignty and border security of the area.

Hon Khoai Island is located in Tan An commune, Ngoc Hien district, Ca Mau province, and has no residents. Currently, the only forces stationed on the island are Radar Station 595, belonging to Regiment 551, Naval Region 5 Command; Hon Khoai Border Guard Station under the Ca Mau Provincial Border Guard; Hon Khoai Lighthouse Station under the Ministry of Transport and Hon Khoai Forest Ranger Department under the Ca Mau Provincial Forest Ranger Department. Hon Khoai Island is considered an outpost guarding the sky, sea and southwestern strip of land of the Fatherland.
